Michaela Eats is an offline-first recipe and grocery management app. Your recipes, photos, and grocery lists are stored locally on your device by default, with optional secure family sync.
1. Information We Store
Michaela Eats stores your recipes, custom notes, pantry inventories, and grocery lists inside your device's local database. When photo attachments are added, they are stored on your device's local filesystem.
2. Optional Cloud Synchronization
If you choose to enable cloud sharing to collaborate with family members, recipes and shopping lists are securely synchronized via Google Cloud / Firebase. We do not sell your personal data or recipe collections to third-party data brokers or advertisers.
3. Device Permissions
The app requests access to your photo library strictly to allow you to attach recipe photos. It uses wakelock capabilities to prevent your screen from sleeping while cooking mode is active.
